Police claimed on Friday that a 57-year-old staff member reportedly raped a three-year-old woman inside a private school in west Delhi’s Janakpuri neighborhood.

A 57-year-old staff allegedly raped a three-year-old girl at an independent school in Janakpuri, west Delhi, officials said on Friday.

The incident came to light on May 1 when the victim’s mother approached the Janakpuri police station with a complaint that her minor daughter was raped by the accused during college hours.

In the grievance, the youngster had gone to the school on April 30, two days after she was admitted.

She came home with pain complaints. Her mother didn’t believe her, she said, and she was taken to a remote part of the facility where the guy allegedly assaulted her.

Taking the matter into consideration, police opened a case under section 64( 1) (punishment for rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 6 of the Protection of Kid from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to police, the boy identified the culprit and the 57-year-old caregiver of the facility was arrested on May 1. Later he was presented before a judge and ordered off to judicial detention.

However, intense pressure from the prosecution did not stop a Dwaraka court from granting him bail on May 7. Authorities said they are examining CCTV video on the school premises.

However, the lady’s mother said that no proper action was taken immediately after the incident was reported. She also said that a college lecturer was involved and that he was questioned during the police inquiry.

She also said that the child and home were compelled to wait many hours at the police station during the inquiries.

At The Same Time, Aam Aadmi Celebration leader Saurabh Bharadwaj, in a statement, vehemently attacked the awarding of bail to the 57-year-old caretaker.

He also reiterated the mother’s concerns, insisting that the DCP WEst bullied the member of the family instead than collaborating with them.”Imagine a small child being taken into nursery in an independent school and then coming home on the very first day, only for the moms and dads to discover a 57-year-old caretaker had raped the child,” he said.

However, police denied the accusations made by the mother and Bharadwaj.

The girl was medically evaluated and the action was conducted immediately, stated the office of DCP (West) Vichitra Veer.During investigation the accused was arrested following the identification by the suffering on the very same day rapidly. The statement of the sufferer was also tape-recorded in front of the court and relevant CCTV/DVR video along with other evidence were seized as per regulation,” the statement said.

It said the inquiry was conducted in a fair, expert and objective fashion based on scientific evidence, forensic evaluation, witnesses’ statements and the merits of the case.“Some media reports regarding harassment or scare tactics by authorities officials are incorrect, uncalled for and contrary to the reality of the examination.” The complainant and the daughter were given a pleasant, child-friendly environment throughout the questioning processes and were summoned exclusively for authorized inquiry and counselling purposes, taking into account the level of sensitivity of the situation, the statement said.It said, “DCP West has never met the parents of the victim, it’s a matter of fact, as stated.

The statement also added that the complete bail order given by the court is being checked carefully, and additional legal remedies, based on regulation, are under consideration.
