Who is eligible to apply?
For the RBI Grade B (General) position, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 60%. If you hold a Master’s degree, a minimum aggregate of 55% is required.
For the DEPR position, a Master’s degree in Economics or Finance is required. For the DISM position, a Master’s degree or a 4-year degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field is mandatory.
What is the prescribed age limit?
For this recruitment, candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.
When will the examination be held?
Online applications will open on April 29, 2026, and will remain open until 6:00 PM on May 20, 2026.
The Phase-I examination is scheduled to be held on June 13, 2026. The examinations for the DEPR and DISM positions will be conducted on June 14, 2026. Subsequently, the Phase-II examination will be held in July 2026.
How is the selection process conducted?
To become an RBI Grade B Officer, candidates must successfully clear three stages. The first stage is the Preliminary Examination. Following this, the Mains Examination is conducted, followed by an Interview.
The Prelims examination features questions covering General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English, and Reasoning. In contrast, the Mains examination encompasses subjects such as Economics, Finance, Management, and English Writing.
