On Thursday, April 9, Mukul Choudhary of Jhunjhunu led the Lucknow Super Giants to a thrilling last-ball win over the Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.
Mukul Choudhary is the newest warrior from Jhunjhunu, a city known for producing brave Indian army soldiers. When his team was in trouble against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Mukul showed the bravery of a soldier by coming out to bat for the Lucknow Super Giants.

After dealing with a tough spell from Sunil Narine, Mukul started to break up the KKR bowling attack with power and control. The young LSG batsman went after Cameron Green and Vaibhav Arora to get the last two overs and get the 30 runs his team needed to win the game.
Mukul said that his fearless attitude came from the spirit of his hometown, which is known for raising soldiers.Yes, sir. It’s in my blood. “I’m doing it here, but they serve the country at the border,” he said after the match.
LIVING HIS DAD’S DREAM
Mukul, a big hitter from Rajasthan who looks up to MS Dhoni, said that his father inspired him to play cricket. He talked about how he got better at his job by going from Jhunjhunu to Sikar, Jaipur, and finally Delhi.In fact, my journey began even before I was born. My dad wanted his son to play cricket one day. But I couldn’t start early because my family wasn’t doing well at the time. I started playing when I was about 12 or 13. “There weren’t many academies back then,” Mukul said.
He trained at the SBS Cricket Academy in Sikar for a few years before moving to Jaipur to find better opportunities. He spent time last year playing matches in Delhi to get used to the faster pace of T20 cricket.
Mukul thought back to an Under-19 match against Uttar Pradesh where he stood out in a game with few runs. “That day, my father was sure I could do it,” he said.
Mukul only had Avesh Khan to help him when Mohammed Shami’s wicket fell. He hit two boundaries and seven sixes to end the game, even though it was hard. “Sir, there is pressure. But I believe in myself because I think God has given me this chance. This is a chance for you to do something big or become famous. He went on to say, “I focus on the chance, not the stress.”
His plan was simple: stay until the end. “I believe that if I don’t get out until the end, I can win the game. I just concentrate on making my shots. I’ll hit the ball if it comes into my area. Mukul said, “The rest, whatever happens, happens.”
On Sunday, April 12, the Lucknow Super Giants will play the Gujarat Titans at home.
