As Coachella begins, let’s look back at some of the most memorable fashion moments, when personal style, cultural expression, and a little bit of chaos came together without rules, judgment, or limits.
Since its first year, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has grown to include more than just music. It has become the biggest stage for fashion. This isn’t red carpet fashion, which is what makes it worth seeing. It lets everyone show off their spirit animal without being judged. You can see everything from boho chic to flowing dresses and the smallest denim shorts with tops with tassels.
This year, the event starts on April 10th. Every year, Hollywood stars, influencers, and singers come to the Empire Polo Club in Indio. And we have to say that some of the outfits worn there will always be in our minds. Kylie Jenner has already shown her fans some of what she did at her La Quinta estate. Before the festival, she was all about flowers and ruffles. She wore a sheer blouse with denim that wasn’t buttoned up. It makes you think of the past and love.

Rihanna
Rihanna’s Bad Gal Riri energy was present in every outfit she wore to Coachella in 2018. She wore a retro-inspired outfit that had a wrap top, jeans with a lot of buckles, heels, and big hoop earrings. In another look, she wore a sheer brown outfit with Y/Project over-the-knee Ugg boots.
Even though it was very hot in Indio, Rihanna still chose to wear a sweatshirt, snakeskin boots, a ski mask, and a lot of jewelry.
Kylie Jenner
We thought the beauty mogul and influencer’s look at Coachella in 2016 was great. She had braids in different colors and wore a Discount Universe evil eye sequin bikini. At Coachella, she looked like a real icon.
Gigi Hadid
Supermodel Gigi Hadid posted pictures of herself in jewelry that was perfect for the hippie vibe at Coachella 2015. She wore body chains and pearls on her forehead. Gigi taught a master class on how to accessorize for a festival.
Tyla
Tyla’s first look at Coachella 2025 was a vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress from their Spring 2000 ready-to-wear collection. She wore it with fringed micro denim shorts, which took everyone back to the Y2K era.
Diljit Dosanjh
During his first Coachella performance in 2023, Diljit Dosanjh told the crowd to “vibe match karo,” and it stuck.
He came in two outfits, both black and white. Kurtas with a tamba and a turban, clean, rooted, and all his own. Diljit was showing off his Punjabi identity in this way.
