Vaibhav Sooryavanshi sustained his spectacular rise in T20 cricket, ending up becoming the quickest hitter to get 100 sixes by arriving in only 514 rounds around Rajasthan Royals’ encounter vs Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his torture of bowlers, being the quickest hitter to achieve the milestone of 100 sixes in T20 cricket. The 15-year-old achieved the feat in only 514 circles during Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2026 encounter against Gujarat Titans on Saturday, May 9, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The southpaw surpassed Austria’s Karanbir Singh, who had previously owned the record after reaching the mark in 813 rounds. Kieron Pollard, Romario Guard, Seekkuge Prasanna and Rahkeem Cornwall had all taken more than 800 rounds to arrive.

Sooryavanshi announced the record in style smashing Siraj for a huge straight six off the very first ball he faced. Since making his debut in 2024, the kid has already smashed 102 sixes in T20 cricket from only 19 outings. Sooryavanshi also became the youngest to 100 T20 6s at 15 years and 43 days.

Fastest to 100 sixes in T20s (Balls).
    514 – Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (India)
    813 – Karanbir Singh, Austria.
843 – Kieron Pollard (West Indies).
    845 Romario Shepherd (West Indies)
850 – Seekkuge Prasanna (Sri Lanka).
    850 Rakheem Cornwall (West Indies)

SOORYAVANSHI WINS PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD IN IPL 2026.

Sooryavanshi again gave Royals a blazing start with a gutsy 36 off only 16 spheres against the Titans. He was in no mood to hesitate against Siraj and Kagiso Rabada, hitting 3 fours and three sixes in his explosive stint at the crease.

He signaled his purpose with a whip over long-on for a huge 6 and subsequently took on Rabada with back-to-back maximums, including a fantastic draw over terrific leg.

Also after injuring his boot while performing a powerful stroke, Sooryavanshi went on striking without any indicators of pain. He also cleverly used the pace of the bowlers, placing himself advantageously on the off-side to help boundaries.

Siraj, however, got the last laugh with a blistering 146.6 kph bouncer rushing him into a mistimed draw, concluding an exciting cameo.

Sooryavanshi is now the fifth best run-getter in IPL 2026, having actually accumulated 440 runs from 11 suits at an average of 40 and an astounding strike rate of 236.55, including a century and two fifties.
